Frequently asked questions about our produce and farm

Buying our farm fresh produce

Fresh seasonal produce is now available via our new online shop and farm gate collection.

Is your produce available all year round?

All fresh fruit and vegetables grown on our farm is seasonal produce and only available at certain times during the year.  This is what makes Yanalla Farms so special, as the produce is grown locally to ensure freshness and quality.

How do I buy produce from your farm?

You can buy produce through ‘click and collect’.  This process is all about customers making a purchase online and collecting that purchase at a pre-chosen time and date from Yanalla Farms.

How does 'click and collect' work?

You place an order through Yanalla Farms online shop.  After the order is paid for, an order confirmation with collection details is emailed to you.  The order details are then communicated to Yanalla Farms who prepares the order for collection.

Why do I have to order in advance?

Placing an order in advance will guarantee your ‘click and collect’ order will be fulfilled on the collection day.  Staff can process your order in a timely manner, and your fresh order will be ready and waiting upon your arrival at the farm.

Can I drive to the farm and buy produce without having ordered through the ‘click and collect’ process?

No.  To avoid disappointment, the only the way you can buy fruit or vegetables is through the ‘click and collect’ process.

Can I buy a smaller quantity of produce, other than what is listed on the website?

No. Fruit is generally sold to customers in 2kg, 4kg, 5kg or 6kg boxes. Vegetables are sold as a whole piece.  If you feel these quantities are too large for your own use, perhaps you may consider approaching family or friends who might be keen to share the costs, and thereby share the produce.

Can I request to have my order shipped to my address instead of collecting it from the farm?

Yanalla Farms do not currently offer a shipping service.  Our produce is chilled, so our ‘click and collect’ arrangements are best suited to maintaining the freshness and quality of produce.  However, if there is an increasing interest to ship directly to customers, we may consider investing in this area in the future.

What days of the week can I collect my order?

We are open for ‘click and collect’ orders on a Sunday from 9am to 3pm.  The next available date for collection of orders will be listed on the website when you place order.  As Yanalla Farms is a working farm, these times and days may be subject to change based on availability of produce during the season.  When produce is listed as ‘add to cart, this means the season is in full swing.   Alternatively, when produce is out of season, it will be listed as ‘out of stock’.

Is my credit card information secure when I buy online from Yanalla Farms?

To protect your credit card information, we use a third-party payments gateway called Square, that employs end-to-end encryption transactions.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept all debit and credit cards. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases.

Now that I have placed an online order, where do I go to collect it?

Once you have received confirmation of your order, you can find all information in the Farm Gate Collection Information section on the order.

Yanalla Farms will make every effort to contact you, should you not arrive during the collection times.  Although your order will be kept in refrigeration, please be aware that fruit and vegetables are perishable items, and quality may be affected if there are long delays with collections.  If orders are not collected at all, no refunds will be given.
